Through this partnership, we are working to bring expert Occupational Therapy (OT) and Speech Language Pathology (SLP) services directly to the Calgary community. Our goal is to assist with children and their families access to supports in order to help them Ascend to their full potential!

McKenna Crisp
Speech Language Pathologist
McKenna is a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist with a Master's of Speech Pathology, specializing in literacy development for children. Certified in programs like Sounds-Write and Read It Again, she brings expertise to early literacy, supporting late talkers, and assisting minimally verbal children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Her focused training also includes social and emotional learning and pediatric feeding screening, providing a well-rounded approach to communication.
When not at work, McKenna enjoys hiking, spending time with her family, and reading books!
Teanna Matchett
Occupational Therapist
Teanna is our occupational therapist and owner of Ascend Pediatrics. She has always loved being on the go and going onto the next challenge! Her love of working with families and children came about during her community pediatric placement at Inn from the Cold, a family homeless shelter in Calgary, Alberta.
She loves to look at the big picture and ensuring we are taking a team approach to meet the full needs of the family! Teanna has specialized training within picky eating, and loves to work within ADHD, sensory processing, self-care, mental health and emotional regulation skills. When supporting kids in these areas, she loves to dive into the process and build strong function skills and build confidence within themselves. Teanna has worked with many different families and disabilities over the years, making her experience diverse!
On her time off, Teanna is often spending time with her family! She can be found with her son out exploring enjoying the outdoors, or on those cold Alberta days enjoying a good Netflix binge!
